What a grand day it was! It couldn't have been any more perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing. This new space has been a long time coming and we put it together in record time! It was previously a gym which a lot of people still remember when they come in to shop. Here is what the space looked like before we took over. This is the view from the back looking toward the entrance.
... and this is the view from the front door looking in.

You know me and how I love a challenge and a blank canvas. This was definitely both of those! It actually looks small in these pictures but that is because the space is not defined.

See what I mean about defining a space? We built all of our own displays and created those shelves in the back out of pipe and pine boards that I stained. If you follow me on Instagram I am sure you caught a bunch of my stories on staining boards and using the weathered stain product by Rustoleum. We also kept the space that my store used to be in. There was a connecting door that we just took the hinges off of and made a wonderful pass through. I went from 180 square feet to 660 square feet!
Since this space had been in the works for a while it gave me sufficient time to acquire a lot of new and handmade items from vendors here in our area and across the country. All of my vendors are hand picked by yours truly and I am extremely happy with the quality of items they produce. Nothing makes me happier than being able to support small business and what is really neat is that when you shop at my store you are supporting me and another small business as well. Most of my vendors are Mom's who are making a living by working from home and creating beautiful works of art. I also hustled to get a bunch of furniture painted for the re-opening as you will see many new pieces in the pictures.
Opening Day:
We had a ribbon cutting right before the opening which was great because we already had a line of people and I was so fortunate all of my family was able to attend and be in the picture. I will share the picture when we get the professional pictures back. We handed out canvas tote bags to the first 50 people in line.

I still have a bunch available for sale and they are $9.95 each. We also had delicious appetizers from Las Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant which is next door to my shop. Here is a tour of the inside of my store, enjoy.

Mom helped me hand out totes (she did an amazing job) and I wore my Dad's pin. I know he was with us in spirit.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to Nipomo Chamber of Commerce, all my family, friends, neighbors, followers and faithful customers for coming out to support this dream of mine. Also to all of my wonderful vendors who create the most incredible products. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Please see below my new hours of operation. I hope to see you soon!

Many thanks,
-Annie
